Beat Brawlers is a rhythmic beat-em-up. As Groove Engineer, I was responsible for the following: 

​ - Metronome

 - On beat detection

 - Enemy attack timing

 - Beat visualization

Additional responsibilities:

 - Composed credits theme

Project Takeaways

This project was the real start in my start in game development journey. Beat Brawlers taught me how to convert ideas into functions and then, from there, gameplay. I also learned how to take responsibility for aspects of a game since I was entirely responsible for setting up the metronome system and applying it to the rest of the game. At the time it felt like I wasn't contributing as much due to my then limited understanding of C#, but in reality I was actually working on something that was core to the game.
